Successful Cherry Stones!

by Harry Faber
(Grays, Essex, England)

Near the telephone exchange are a few cherry trees, nice, dark cherries.

Last year, I picked a handful and ate them, leaving the stones to dry out. I planted several in peat, left them over winter, and in the spring, four of them grew. I have just planted them into nursery sites.

They are about 4" high at the moment. (17th July 2010)

Harry Faber.
