"Everyday Garden Vegetables"

Try growing a few regular garden vegetables in your back garden, or in pots on a balcony - anywhere you can find a little outside space.

There is nothing like the taste of a home grown tomato. Although I do know a three year old who won't eat my tomatoes because they taste too 'tomato-y'... Oh well I guess that's three year olds for you. :-)

Providing you and your family with fresh organic vegetables every day must be the most satisfying thing on earth.

With a little careful planning, you can put at least one organic vegetable on your plate every day right through the year. It may take a couple of seasons to get the timings right, but you'll get there in the end! Even if it's just a few early lettuce leaves or the very first spoonful of fresh peas, your body and soul will be delighted!

Here are some everyday garden vegetables to get you going...

Artichokes:

You need a fair amount of space for growing artichokes. In cooler climates they will reach 3ft. high and 3ft. in diameter. In warmer climates, even larger.
