"Garden Tools" -
What you really need...
Too many garden tools are left for years in sheds and garages, simply because they weren't needed, or maybe were too heavy for their owner to use.
Think about size and weight before you buy large garden tools and equipment.
You don't need to buy up the garden centre when you begin your garden. Spend carefully.
The basic tools you need to begin your garden are:
a Spade - preferably with a fairly sharp edge. a Fork - A regular digging fork with four or five sturdy prongs. a Rake - A medium width rake ( not a grass rake ) a Hoe - or 'Dutch' hoe. Buy a smooth handled hoe with a good sharp edge on the blade. These four large garden tools will be enough to get you moving in your garden. To transplant seedlings, planting small plants etc; you will need a trowel. And to make life a little easier, a wheelbarrow would certainly come in handy!
