"Garden Benches"

Garden benches can be made from just about anything strong enough to sit on...

Upturned barrels

tree stumps

driftwood....

A little imagination goes a long way in the garden. Stick close to the theme of your garden. Try to avoid white plastic if you can. It tends to reflect the sun and you'll need shades to look at it!

In France the norm is to buy green plastic - if you are buying plastic that is - and in the UK we tend to go for white, which I guess reflects how much sun we get in the UK compared with France!

This home made seat has served our family and friends well for a number of years...

Buying seating for the garden is a joy in itself. Depending on the theme of your garden, you could decide on wrought iron fancy benches, solid wooden benches and even traditional english park benches.

This beautiful seating conjurs up memories of school days and summer nights....

Have a simple round table you can move around in the garden. You don't have to stick to a regular table and 4 chairs. A solitary garden bench with a small 'coffee' table (an old barrel?) brings a very peaceful aura to your otherwise busy patio area. Position the bench in a partial shade area to cool down on.

Comfortable seating in your garden encourages a community spirit. You only have to sit down and open a book and everyone will be there to share your space....Works every time!

Happy Gardening!
